Bano and I decided (at random) to start new characters and run around doing similar quests, but making it a competition. Oddly enough, we both made rogue-esque characters.
Characters:
Yoyo's
Bano's
Permanent Rules:
No quicksaving mid-quest.
Talley
Yoyo: 11
Bano: 10
Current Quest: none, temporary pause

- Thieves Guild - Goldenglow Estate
Rules: No quicksave (except for lockpicking)
Kill as few mercenaries as possible - lowest kill count gets a point
Results:
Yoyo - 2 mercenaries, fewer than five lockpicks used on Master lock at entrance
Bano - 2 mercenaries, fewer than five lockpicks used on Master lock at entrance
Thieves Guild - Dampened Spirits
Rules: Survive
Results:
Failure all around. Freaking Hamelyn and his Venomfang Skeevers.
Thieves Guild - Scoundrel's Folly
Rules: Remain hidden at all times
One extra point for each OHKO kill
Results:
Yoyo - 1 point, went unseen
Bano - 1 point, OHKO
Dawnguard - Awakening
Rules: Don't use your primary method of killing
Yoyo - no offensive magic
Bano - no bows
Results:
1 point to both for successful mission (though it took us both, like, half an hour or more)
Dawnguard -Scroll Scouting/Chasing Echoes/etc.Soul Cairn
Rules: No looking up anything concerning Arvak.
NoUltra-VampVampire Lord.
Bonus points for every sidequest done.
Results:
Yoyo - 1 point for no looking stuff up, 2 points for side quests
Bano - 1 point for no looking stuff up, 1 point for side quests
Dark Brotherhood - Who the heck wants Narfi dead?
Rules: Can't be seen.
No bows or magic.
OHKOs only.
Must be at night.
(1 point for accomplishing all of these, none if you fail any one)
Extra Points Opp: No reloads.
Results:
Yoyo - 2 points
Bano - 1 point - reloaded
Dark Brotherhood - Mourning Never Comes
Rules: ???
Bonus Point: Kill the extra target without getting caught.
Results: 2 points for Slytherin!

I stumbled upon Whiterun! I would then proceed to not go to Whiterun. Then decide to forget that, and fast-traveled back to Whiterun. So it took me, like, twelve in-game hours to get back here.

We're setting up a set of rules for each major mission we do. In the case of Goldenglow, we have to kill as few mercenaries as possible, and also no quicksaving mid-quest. (Lockpicking is the only exception because SCREW THAT MASTER LOCK ON GOLDENGLOW.)Poe wrote:I will be waiting. :3

I'm not running any mods, I don't know about Yoyo, I think not? And! Never really asked about the difficulty, really should have. I'm just running on normal.

That's a pretty rough decision! Also, it has brought up a concern; I didn't know we were picking one of them to root for. What'll I do?? I know, I'll help you out and pick a side in one fell swoop. I am officially rooting for Yhun in this one.
