Ama's Games
Since y'all like games so much, I'll share some of me favourites. Not that I have only played these, but I've forgotten a lots of games over the past number of years, so it cannot be exhaustive.
Firstly, the Mass Effect trilogy. Since I've beaten the first and second games about 3-4 times each, and am on my 3rd play through of the 3rd one.
The Halo Franchise (Halo 1, 2, 3, Reach, ODST. I have 4 but haven't played it). One of the first PC game I played on windows, super addicting (only the first one though)
Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2 (have beaten the first like 4 times, but haven't beaten the second yet, though it is good too)
Total War Series (Empire Total War, Napoleon Total War, Rome II Total War, Shogun II, Medieval II Kingdoms ->mostly for the Third Age mod) Edit: Total War Attila
Age of Empires I & II + Rise of Nations (similar style)
Of course Pokemon. I remember when Red and BLue came out, so I've played most hand held versions except Diamond and Purl.
Left 4 Dead & Left 4 Dead 2 (don't really play them anymore, but they were fun)
Half Life, its expansions, Half Life 2, and its episodes, and also the total conversion mod Black Mesa. Probably some of de bestest shooters
Skyrrrim. (I have Oblivion, but I never got into it)
Assassin's Cred, II-IV (I've only beaten II but at 100%, and I like IV too)
batman Arkham Asylum and City (only played the first and it was really good)
Bioshock games (only have played Infinite since the first two have start up erros I can't fix >_<)
I got Dead Space this christmas but haven't tried them much
Dragon Age Origins (its aight I guess.)
Fallout New Vegas (got this christmas and haven't played much)
Lego Hobbit & LOTR -> Only've played the Hobbit so far at 100% and it was fantastic
LA Noire, still in the midts of beating it
Orcs must Die
Portal & 2
Civ 5
Peggle
Tomb Raider 2013 (only TOmb Raider I've play, and I got it for like change on steam sail)
Dankey Kang
Legend of Zelda -> Oot (its meh), WindWaker (the best), Twilight Prince (like mud), A link between Worlds, Four Swords Adventures.
Paper Mario & Thousand Year Door. & MArio Sunshine
Super Smush Brothers
I have a place for NHL games (being Canadian and all)
LOTR the Battle for Middle Earth & 2
DDR extreme & DDR Extreme 2 and Supernova I guess, but I mostly played the first two installments all the time
Some Naruto fighting games, and one One Piece fighting game. Starwars Battlefront 2 from way back
Shadow of the Colossus

Re: Ama's Games
Unless I skipped over something, I think the only game I played on that list was the Pokémon series. xD
Am interested in the Dark Souls games, but not sure if I'd actually play.

Oh man! Mass Effect is so bomb! They are coming out with a new one, I think I heard somewhere, and I'm pretty stoked about that, but apparently, the main character is not going to be Commander Shepard ~ So it will be a bit of a change.
Dark Souls I started playing, but was promptly slaughtered about 7 times in a row, so kinda put it down and started Assassins Creed, which I have been caught up in since then, haha, I have been absorbing these games at an alarming rate - the only one I haven't finished is AC: Liberation, but that's because I can't find it by itself :(
As for Zelda, have you played Hyrule Warriors yet?!
I have NHL games also! But they're on the Genesis, haha. It's been a long time since those have seen any action.
How's Shadow of the Colossus?! I've been meaning to get around to that one.

Poe: Dark Souls is a weird game. You have to learn to sit back and observe the enemies before fighting them. You die a lot, but then get the hang of the game and absolutely destroy it, until you match up poorly against a boss and get stuck for hours
Sammy: Mass Effect 4! I've heard it was in development, and I'm really excited to see what direction they take the next game. Personally I hope it is like the generation after Commander Shepherd, and carries some save data over from ME3.
I learned a lot about Dark Souls from a youtuber lobosjr who does challenge Dark Souls runs, and they are really impressive, but also really informative. So, like there is a blighttown drop, and the Duke's Archeive's skip, and these other tricks that are super useful for casuals like me.
I have not played Hyrule Warriors. I ain't got not weee-ew. (jk that system be cool)
Shadow of the Colossus is simply beautiful. It has tremendous atmosphere, and incredibly fitting music. Plus there are only 16 enemies in the game, and NG+ to infinite? The game play is really addicting, and gives you thrills like no other game. They really did an excellent job on it, and it isn't so farfetched to say that it is one of the best PS2 games ever made. It also has a surprising amount of depth, like secret weapons, and stuff. Also, a secret secret zone that can only be reached after beating the game like 6 times and climbing to the top of the main tower (which takes forever)

Thanks to Dungeons and Dragons Online, I'm already in the habit of studying enemies like that in games. Arcs of vision, general range how far they can see, how to abuse their listening, etc... Makes stealth all the easier. xP

Yeah, but Dark Souls isn't called hard for no reason. It's really funny because even after being at the last part of the game, you can still die to some of the earliest enemies. Over-confidence kills you all the time

Re: Ama's Games
I know. A friend of mine has it. She complained about dying a lot. A guy I linked in a thread somewhere has a Let's Play of it as well. (I just didn't watch it.)
I'm familiar with it's difficulty, was just going on about the part that DDO has gotten me used to studying critters that hit back.

It depends on the player for me, honestly.

I was Lobosjr, but those are challenge runs, and not lets plays. Speedruns are also really fun to watch, but I classify those as a different genre of playing games.

Re: Ama's Games
Well, the let's play I watched was essentially the guy roleplaying through Skyrim. So he'd just go through whatever storyline bits his character would go through.

Yeah. Every action he does is with the intent of what the character would do.
It's an awful lot of videos, though. Most are at least half an hour long. But here you go.

It's because it's easier to get into when you're after Google money. You make a lot more content, and it's practically daily. Just look at some of the top tier channels, and their upload count is insane.

Yup! I'm sure they spend more time in that job a day than many people spend actually working all week too. xD

Most likely. It is a lot more work than you would think.

Recording, playing, making sure the difficulty is at such a level that it's fun to enjoy while not being too easy, making sure the video actually recorded, keeping an incredibly obsessive save backup, maintaining computer specs so it is actually capable of running the games in the first place, editing, compression, uploading, and repeating the whole thing over again.
It's insane.
