I don't suppose you were around for the AA iteration of WotN? Eh, I'll just go for a full explanation.

The actual RP itself basically consists of story-telling, but only from your character's perspective. Like...
"Yoyo walked into the bar. Jake was the only one there, but that was enough for her. 'JAKE!' she shouted at the top of her lungs directly in his ear."
Except you would have a specific world/plot/whatever set up. (Well, you don't have to, I suppose, but where's the fun in that?) So you decide you're going to do a Naruto RP. You make a thread in the Planning Stage forum with the basics of your plot (Naruto is hungry, but has to beat up fifty ninjas! Sakura and Sasuke are going to help him!) You recruit people (in this case Sakaura and Sasuke, apparently) who want to join you.
Then you make a thread in the RP area and... RP.
It doesn't have to be strictly fandom-RPing. It can be totally free-range, too. Like, you can have two, four, thirty people going on an adventure in Made-Up-Land.

So, basically... The stuff we used to make fun of once upon a time on WotN, we're now doing. Yupp.

Ah, I am in a similar situation. Working a lot, slowly working toward deciding how I'm going to spend the rest of my life. Luckily, I have a bit of an idea, so it's not as difficult as it was, like, a year ago.

Oh, well, me and some of the people who graduated with me (and thereabouts) are planning on starting a community theatre in the area.
Which is terrifying. We're literally planning on starting a company.
