You underestimate, Poe~Poe wrote:For inquiring minds, Gaia has a problem with it's market, yep. I don't remember specifically what caused it, but inflation is a HUGE issue right now.
And no, all things have scaled up to the new amounts. Try looking at the daily dice, and see how much that gives you. After all of the attempts, you'll prolly end up with like 100k.
They've been trying really hard to create a sink for all of this, including a specialty gold store where they have recolors of old, really popular items for well, some go into the millions.
Right now, "pretty cool items" (what used to cost a few hundred thousand) go into the billions. Really expensive items cost trillions.
I was a multi-millionaire on gaia before my hiatus. When I came back, all my gold was change. But I started doing writing commissions and I'm getting by, I suppose~
The problem is not lack of gold sinks. It's the gold RIGs. The items that grant cold hard gold (in the trillions).
So there you have it~ Also, the current CEO is a serious a**hole... He's running the site into the ground.

Yeah~! And he's neglecting that gaia not at its core, a shopping site. It's a community site!Poe wrote:Thanks for the elaboration, Aya. :3Ayame wrote:You underestimate, Poe~Poe wrote:For inquiring minds, Gaia has a problem with it's market, yep. My suggestion is that they put less focus on gaia items and put more emphasis on gaia merchandise sold in real life. Why? Hardcore fans of anything... Especially a community they like a lot... Will buy merch. Works well with bands, anime, and all sorts of things. Why not the site?

God, just look at sports teams with their merchandise. xD
The number of people who buy tons of Gaia cash anyway would likely buy the merchandise, though. I know people who practically put Gaia into their monthly budget, just for that stuff. Shirts, watches, keychains, etc... though, I thought already were a thing, but Isuppose they don't exactly make it as accessible or as public knowledge as the MCs, EIs or whatever else.
But seriously, I go to Gaia for the forums, not because of my avatar's items.

I was suggesting that it might depend on circumstances, and what actions are being refrained from and how they play into the overall picture.
If one were to dedicate their time to a healthy lifestyle to prolong their life in an attempt to putting off death, excluding all other activities, would it be procrastination from living?
However, if they decided to use their newfound strength to experience more, are they really living? What constitutes a full life in this case?

TOO PRAGMATIC ..... We need to go full on existentialistic, what does it mean to live, and to die?
